An alumnus of N.C. State University, Vinnie enjoys rooting for the Wolfpack whenever he has a chance. When he has time to get away, he enjoys taking the family to the beach or other new places to visit. A Gastonia native, Vinnie serves as an elder at Living Hope Church, is a past-president of the Rotary Club of Gastonia, serves on the United Way of Gaston County board along with several other boards and committees in the area. A fitness enthusiast, Vinnie is deeply involved in the local F3 men’s workout group where he regularly leads the various workouts around Gaston County. Vinnie loves to run and has a personal challenge to complete a competitive race in every state. So far, he’s completed a marathon, half marathon or team relay race in 18 states. Only 32 more to go!

Vinnie is excited to support the Boys and Girls Club of Gastonia by Dancing For the Future Stars!

Wes Dunaway has called Gastonia home for a little over 3 years, but his love of the area was immediate. Wes has lived in the Charlotte area for about 20 years, moving in 2004 after graduating from Georgia Tech. He later went on to earn an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Education and the constant pursuit of knowledge and improvement is at the core of Wes’ daily life.

Wes was born in Augusta, Georgia, where he took the local version of Junior Assembly in middle school and later went on to teach ballroom dancing in high school.  He is the Vice President of Preconstruction for MSS Solutions, a mechanical contractor headquartered in Charlotte. He and his wife, Erin (Hovis) own and operate three fitness studios in Charlotte. Between those two endeavors, his charitable contributions are typically limited to industry and fitness-based activities. He is THRILLED to couple an original love of dancing with the betterment of the youth of Gaston County.

William “Will” Ridgeway Jones has called Gastonia, NC home for much of his life.  He grew up attending Gaston County Public Schools, followed by earning bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and English from the University of South Carolina in 2006.  Additionally, he furthered his education with a Master of Business Administration degree from Queens University of Charlotte’s McColl School of Business in 2012.  He then began his commercial real estate career, working alongside his grandfather and mentor, Bill Gray, owner of Gray Family Properties in Gastonia.  He’s since assembled his own portfolio in and around Gaston County, while co-managing the family business.  Conjunctively, he moonlights as a custom menswear consultant at OMJ Clothing in Charlotte, NC, founded and owned by fellow Gastonian and dear friend, Brad Rhyne.  The sartorial arts are a true passion of Wills!  He is a graduate of Gaston Together’s Civic Engagement Leadership (CEL) program and currently serves as a member of the Gaston County Education Foundation board.  In 2018, he married the love of his life, Jamie, and they proudly share a home with their beloved Cavapoo, Gaston. All pun intended!  From an early age, Will has written, recorded and performed his own original music, and has never met a dance floor he hasn’t liked!  He is very much looking forward to this challenge and the opportunity to benefit the lives of others, especially of those living in our community!

Lee Nester is a proud Gaston County native who graduated as part of the first full graduating class from Highland Tech in 2004. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Erskine College, in Due West, South Carolina, where he played basketball for four years.Lee joined CaroMont Health over 12 years ago and currently serves as the Director of Logistics, managing the day-to-day operations of the supply chain.

Over the years, Lee has been fortunate to serve on many non-profit boards and take advantage of many volunteering opportunities. He currently serves on the Metro YMCA Board and the Next Generation Advisory Committee, while also coaching Anderson’s (his son) basketball team. Lee is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Gastonia, serving on many committees, as well as serving as a past chair of the Diaconate.

Lee still calls Gastonia home, along with his wife of over 12 years, Hayley, his son, Anderson (7), daughter, Evie (4), and two Goldendoodles, Penny and Sandy. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling when he can, and spending time with family and friends!

“Although anxious, super nervous, and completely out of my comfort zone, I am beyond honored to be asked to be a part of the 2024 event and look forward to helping to raise a lot of money and having a ton of fun!”

Jennifer Overcash is the proud wife of her husband of fifteen years, Senator Brad Overcash and mother of their two children, Anna Katherine (11) and Will (9). Originally born and raised in Carthage, MS, she attended Ole Miss where she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing. After graduating in 2003, Jennifer met a young Ole Miss law student from the Tar Heel State, and they were married and set up their life in Brad’s native State of North Carolina.

Jennifer’s passions are focused on her family and faith. She is an active local leader and volunteer with Moms in Prayer State Board as Social Media Coordinator, Serenity Pastoral Counseling Board Member, and has served in many capacities in Community Bible Study. At First United Methodist Church of Belmont, she happily gives her time and support to the administrative council, children’s programs, leads prayer groups, adult small groups, and teaches children’s Sunday school. She supports our local community by giving her time to Belmont Central PTO, Gaston County Republican Party, and many other charitable organizations. In her spare time, Jennifer loves to cook, read, and travel, but mostly she takes joy in spending time with her family and friends.

Jennifer is excited to partner with Boys and Girls Club and support children of Greater Gaston County so they have every opportunity to grow and use the tools and gifts they’ve been given to shine brightly.

Rose Planer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a Masters in Social Work and graduated with top honors and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society. She has a Minor in Spanish from the University of Seville, Spain. She is currently a licensed mental health practitioner in North Carolina. Rose has worked with many at-risk youth who depend on organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs for survival. For the last seven years, she served as a board member for the Jamie Kimble Foundation and collaborated with teens across Mecklenburg County to create an annual healthy dating relationships campaign in conjunction with Carowinds. Rose is a consultant for Hope United Survivors Network and is developing a youth healthy relationships project in Gaston County. Rose is a board member of the Schiele Museum, serves as a committee member for the Backpack Weekend Fundraiser, is a member of the Gastonia Debutante Club, and is the author of two fiction novels. She has been married to her husband, Jonathan, a Gastonia native, for fifteen years and has two wide-open sons, Max (10) and Ian (5). In her spare time, Rose loves watching UNC basketball, reading, traveling and playing legos with her boys.

Pressly Ramey is the proud wife of six years to Derrick Ramey and Mother to two daughters, Ella Grace (9) and Anderson Reese (3). Pressly received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Queens University of Charlotte and spent four incredible years teaching Kindergarten through 3rd grade in Gaston County. After ending her teaching career, Pressly started her career in Real Estate and has enjoyed giving back to the community through her love for helping others achieve their homeownership goals. Pressly enjoys spending time with her girls at their farm, on the lake, and traveling. She loves to give back to the community and has spent much of her twenties doing so through her time with Gaston County Schools and other avenues, including Habitat for Humanity. Pressly is so excited to continue to advocate for the children of Gaston County and making this the best place to raise a family.

Jenna Winters is married to her Gaston Christian high school sweetheart and best friend of 19 years, Charles Winters! They have two amazing daughters, Hallie Anne (13) and Charlotte (8), and they reside in Gastonia.  Jenna grew up in Browns Cove on Lake Wylie and moved to Gastonia when she was 17.  She attended Gardner Webb University and UNC Charlotte where she received her undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations and Psychology.  While completing her internship with a non-profit organization, she realized quickly how small efforts make great impacts on people's lives.  Serving and helping others has always been very important to her.

She is a local mortgage banker with Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group where she is able to help make homeownership dreams become a reality in the community and surrounding areas.  When she started in the Mortgage Industry in 2021, she never realized how God would use this as a way to position her with service opportunities.  She has been surrounded by influential community members who want to make a positive impact in our community and encourage other likeminded people to get involved.  She attends First United Methodist Church. Currently, she serves on the Warlick YMCA Board, serves on the 2024 Purse Power planning committee for United Way of Gaston County, served as co-chair for the Women Build 2023-Women Empowering Women event and the Hard Hats and High Heels event for Habitat for Humanity of Gaston County, and volunteers on Thursday mornings at Bountiful Blessings Food Pantry.  Her favorite job of all is being class mom.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, date nights, golf cart rides, working out, spending time with her family and friends, watching her girls play golf, tennis, and perform at Gaston Dance Theater.

Jenna is thrilled to represent and support the Boys and Girls Club. She is so thankful to be a part of such a unique community. Together, we can accomplish many things and make so much progress.
