2024 Community Foundation Run
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston is participating in the Community Foundation's RUN on Saturday, April 13, 2024 and we need your support!
Please don't forget to designate your donation to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston! Funds will be used for vital afterschool programming for youth ages 6 to 18, focusing on Academic success, Good Character and citizenship, and Healthy lifestyles.
Dollars given to the Match Fund will be applied to the matching grant, which benefits ALL participating nonprofits. Dollars earmarked for certain nonprofits will go to the specific organization(s) named. For qualifying agencies, up to $10,000 of total dollars raised will be matched by a percentage based on a ratio of the total amount of dollars collected in the match pot compared to the amount of eligible donor contributions. Gaston County schools share a $15,000 cap.

This annual event hosted by the Community Foundation of Gaston County supports all eligible nonprofit organizations in Gaston County. All donations are received, tallied, processed and held by the Foundation, who then acknowledges donors with a tax receipt and records the gifts in funds named for the beneficial organization.
The Foundation has set aside a portion of its unrestricted funds for this special event. This seed money will help (1) fund the event, (2) provide the base funds for the match, and (3) provide prize money. The Community Foundation Board of Directors has committed funds to the Match Fund, sponsor donations will benefit the Match Fund and individual donors like you can contribute.
You can help grow the Match Fund by notating your contribution on the Donor Form & including in your total contributions. Organizations invite their donors to give to the Community Foundation through RUN.
